Isolation, is a piece that represents the soul’s eternal struggle to deal with
tense emotions whilst being alone mentally, physically, and spiritually. The piece has many highs and lows, and often phrases contain lots of leaps and hesitations to represent the anxieties of isolation itself. This piece was written in early 2021, well into the COVID-19 pandemic, so being isolated and feeling alone was not foreign to anyone, and I myself had my own feelings of being alone in the ways listed above during this time.
