Program Notes:
Little Suite for Piano is the first work I ever wrote for Solo Piano, but also
the first piece I ever wrote in the format of a suite. This piece attempts to capture the story of a soul’s journey from birth to death. Starting in the first movement, we see a soul in its earliest years, the music is reminiscent of a nursery rhyme, then we see it grow into adolescence, in a moderate and simple dance, next is when we see the soul mature and grow, the music is fast and energetic, full of excitement and changes, in the final movement we see the solitude of death take over the soul in a mournful plaintive song.
