Program Notes:

Lux in Tenebris translates in Latin to, Light into Darkness. The music poses as a battle between the forces of light, and the forces of darkness. The light is showcased through brighter textures and more lush harmonies, whereas the darkness is shown through more blunt percussion instruments, and darker harmonies. Throughout the piece the forces take turns taking center stage, but by the end, darkness prevails, with only a hint of light shining through.
