Program Notes:
I always think of November as a time of crisp air, and cool temperatures; ideal for walking and taking in the world around us, whether this be through the nature present; in the birds and the skies, or in the people around us, and the structures we pass. The picture showcased on the cover of this edition of November: A Tuning Piece, was taken by me around 7:30 in the morning on a November walk, and it serves as the inspiration for this piece. It is a tuning piece in the sense that it often rests on a static note throughout, but what happens above these notes is inspired heavily by these early morning walks. You hear the birds chirp, see other people walking, and overall, feel a sense of peace inside of yourself, as you take part in this wonderful world.
