Program Notes:
A simple Overture for strings that starts with a serene and quiet introduction, that eventually unfolds into a pizzicato, almost percussive-like idea which is then followed by mysteriousness in the form of a statement of the main motive, but this time in a minor setting, and to follow that, a finale statement of grandeur and majesty, that is quickly suppressed by the pizzicato percussive feature from before.
