for Solo Piano
Subtitle: Fallen Leaves
Instrumentation:
- Solo Piano
Program Notes:
Inspired by an early morning autumn walk in my hometown of Roanoke, VA during a fall break from college, the music is primarily contemplative and has an almost curious sense of motion, despite being played very sensitive and gently. Lines, melodies, and contours draw inspiration not only leaves that have fallen from tree’s branches, but also, the idea of a wanderer making their way through a forest, or street which houses a canopy of leaves and branches above them.
