Program Notes:

The Eternal Clock is an idea that there is a clock that exists that will never
stop ticking and keeping time, this could be a digital clock, a pocket watch, a large clock on a tower, like that of Big Ben, whatever the case is this idea is fascinating to me and serves as the inspiration for this piece. In my writing of it, I imaged this large Big Ben-like clock, very worn and tattered but still ticking and going on keeping time. I imagined some sort of travelers of the future coming across this clock, it appears from a soft mist, glowing and illuminating interest from those who come across it, this is what the first part of the piece is meant to depict. The second part, “Unending” is meant to showcase the inner workings of the clock, and their ability to continue on without a sign of stopping.
