for F Horn and Piano
Instrumentation:
- F Horn
- Piano
Program Notes:
Set in two different movements, The Evening Voices is a piece that tries to
explore two different nighttime “moods” as it were. One is a soft mantra that ebbs and flows and acts as a hopeful and simple song that could accompany the look of the evening clouds. The second movement, “Profanation” is a fiery, minor proclamation of blasphemy, which attempts to be the other side of the same coin, the coin being the evening, which some view as a peaceful moment of reflection, and other see as the start of the darkness that is night.
